A Boy/Girl Birthday Party for Hannah

We had Hannah's birthday party this evening. It was a "boy/girl" party. She had boy/girl parties when she was in pre-school, but this was her first one in several years.

Selecting a venue for a boy/girl party was not an easy feat. After several weeks of searching, we settled on Monster Mini Golf in Marietta.

The cost was fairly reasonable and allowed a large number of guests. All of the paper goods and ice were provided. We had our own full size refrigerator in our room, too. The room was ours for 1 1/2 hours.

When we first arrived, Hannah added her hand print to the wall of fame.

Hannah's hand print and birth date is now on the wall at Monster Mini Golf.

Almost immediately after we arrived, Hannah & James begged me to take a picture of them in this cut-out with one of Hannah's friends. Aw....so cute!

We were permitted to bring in all of our own food, so we ordered pizza. Many party venues require that you only order food from them at inflated prices. This was another plus.

The birthday girl!

Opening presents

Hannah is wearing a "sorting hat" (Harry Potter item) that she received from one of her friends.

We had each guest sit with Hannah on the chair when she opened his/her gift. This is an example of how Hannah sat with the boys.

We had Harry Potter themed cupcakes.

After the cupcakes, it was time to play miniature golf. Everything was painted in glow in the dark paint and black lights were used. Our white clothing looked really cool. I had bought Hannah the flower headband just for that reason.

Here I am just watching the kids have fun.

After we played 18 holes, we gave the kids some quarters to play games. Here they are having fun in the hurricane simulator. Then of course, they had some tickets to redeem.

Hannah has decided this was one of her best birthday parties EVER! I am happy to be done for another year. James doesn't usually have parties - he takes the cash option! :)
