Pigeon Forge 2012 -The Cabin

Last year we spent the week of Thanksgiving in Pigeon Forge with my parents. The kids loved it and wanted to go back. So this year, we rented a cabin and let the kids each bring a friend.

I rented the cabin through Colonial Properties. I searched through lots of different cabins before settling on ours. One thing that I really liked about this company was that there wasn't any extra charges for additional people. Most of the cabin rentals in Georgia are one price if you have 4 people, but it is an extra $10 per night per additional person which can really add up!

Here is our little cabin.

We rented the cabin from Saturday until Tuesday. The holiday rates started on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, so we got a pretty good deal on the cabin. The cabin was located in a wooded neighborhood type setting, surrounded by lots of other rental cabins and it was located just a mile away from Dollywood. Chris would really like to rent something more secluded in the Smokies some day.

  1. Looks very nice! If you find a nice, secluded one with a view, let me know!
