Our Girl Scout troop just had it's annual "Sweetheart Dance". We hosted the dance for the whole service unit. Usually we hold the dance in the spring, but the girls really wanted to have a costume theme, so we decided October would be the perfect time for it. Plus, we've got it out of the way!
Hannah dressed as Elphaba from Wicked.
Here is Hannah with her Dad. Chris went as "Darth after Dark".
Here they are without the Darth Vader mask.
Here are a couple of dads who were good sports about dressing up. We LOVED the Girl Scout costume!
Our girls named out ghost, Ghouliette Gorden Low, a pun on Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts.
We choose a charity or organization to benefit from our dance service project each year. This year the girls chose Mostly Mutts, so we collected various dog and cat supplies.
Here are some of Hannah's friends from our Girl Scout troop.
Another friend with her Dad.
We do a few group dances, such as the Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, and Chicken Dance. I think this is the Cha Cha Slide.
Here are the girls in our troop.
We had a fun evening! There were about 65 girls in attendance.
