Hannah has been studying sharks in her Target class. Students were given an at-home assignment of creating a 3-D shark. They could choose any type of shark. Hannah chose a the Grey Reef Shark.
First she cut out a shark pattern out of cardboard.
Then she traced the pattern onto the foam packing material and then cut it out with an electric carving knife. (with a little help from Dad).
She glued cardboard fins to the foam shark. Then she covered the shark with paper mache.
She put a couple of coats of paper mache on her shark. Then we let it dry over night.
She painted the little guy.
We had a small, vacant aquarium. With help from her Dad, they suspended the shark from the top of the aquarium. She added some sea weed (Easter grass) and painted some foam coral too.
