It's that time of year again, when the kids go back to school. And like most other families, we have the tradition of taking pictures of our children to mark this occasion.
Hannah started 5th grade. She was so excited she had difficulties sleeping last night. Amazingly, she was very easy to wake up. One of her grandmothers sent her this shirt last week. She had seen it at Target and thought of Hannah. I picked up the matching skirt for her. I usually don't buy "back to school" clothes until mid-September when it gets cooler. She'll be able to wear summer clothes for the first month or so.
Here she is in line waiting to get on the bus. I don't imagine she'll let me take pictures of her getting on the bus next year when she's in middle school.
Nearly 2 hours after his Hannah left, it was time for James to go. He started 8th grade. His school adopted a strict dress code for this school year - tan or black pants/shorts, white, orange, black or khaki shirts (must have collar), and black or brown shoes. Shirt must be tucked in and pants belted.
Here James is posing with his good friend.
After both kids were in school, I met some friends at Starbucks, got the car washed, went to the bank, bought groceries and then it was about time for Hannah to come home. Fortunately, they go back again tomorrow!
