Scrapbooking Room Re-Do

Back in May, I wrote about my scrapbooking room. It was a teeny tiny room, but it was working for me. Then in February, we got new flooring in the basement. We had to completely empty out all of the items in my scrapbooking room. When it was time to move everything back, my wonderful husband decided to use that teeny tiny room as his home office and let me have a larger room. For the last few years, the larger room housed his desk and work area along with my stamping room. As an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I have needed space to hold monthly card making classes. So now instead of having a separate stamping and scrapbooking room, I have one huge beautiful craft room.

Chris just hung up the white embellishment organizer, so that's no longer on the floor. And it looks like I was so eager to take pictures that I didn't even put the broom or cleaning wipes away!

The left most door leads to a closet. Pics of that are below.

Scrapbooking Goal {Week 16}

I was on a roll and caught up on James' portrait album. I did 15 pages this week instead of 8. Whew! I'm feeling much better about all of my scrapbooking!

Scrapbooking Goal {Week 15}

It is so nice to be back on track. Let's see how long that lasts! :)


All of the layouts for this week are in James' portrait album. This first one uses a kit from Out on a Limb Scrapbooking.

Another Out on a Limb kit for James' first time on the swim team. He was only 4!

The page on the left uses Creative Memories supplies. The page on the right uses printed paper from Me and My Big Ideas.

The only embellishment that I used for this layout was the soccer ball from Deluxe Cuts. I couldn't find the website for Deluxe Cuts. I vaguely recall that they closed up shop a few years ago. However, I still want to give credit for their item.

Scrapbooking Goal {Week 14}

This is the 14th week of school and I am back on track! Whew! Thankfully, next week is Thanksgiving Break and it doesn't count toward my scrapbooking goal.

This layout is another kit from Out on a Limb Scrapbooking. It was actually a "the dance" layout, but I changed it to "dance". My baby girl goes to dance class, she's not ready to go to dances. Or at least I'm not ready!

Scrapbooking Goal {Week 13}

Week 13 should have been the week of November 7th.

This two page layout used some miscelanous red printed paper. The black shapes were traced. Then there are some retired Creative Memories tap shoe stickers.

This layout uses stickers from American Traditional Designs. 

Here's a kit from Simple 2 Scrapbook. They offer many different ready to go kits similar to Out on a Limb or Lotts to Scrapbook. 

This dance layout uses another kit by Out on a Limb Scrapbooking.

Scrapbooking Goal {Week 7}

I can't believe how behind I have gotten. This is officially week #10 of the school year and this is only Week 7 of my scrapbooking! I am determined to get caught up.

I ran out of printed pictures for our family album, so I had to work on Hannah's portrait album. This first page uses an old Simply Scrappin' kit from Stampin' Up! The larger picture of Hannah is one of my all time favorite professional photos of her. Too cute!

Very simple - just a piece of retired printed cardstock from Stampin' Up and blue organdy ribbon.

The paper from this page is from Making Memories.

Ordered some more prints and was able to finish our 2007 album!!! This is a kit from Out on a Limb Scrapbooking.

Hannah's kindergarten page uses supplies from Creative Memories.

Scrapbooking Goal {Week 3}

I was a little worried that I might not meet my goal this week. I volunteered 3 days at my son's school and didn't really feel like scrapping at the end of the week. But since I made my goal public with this blog, I "forced" myself to complete the pages.

This first two I completed were for Hannah's portrait album. I used some retired Stampin' Up! papers on this one. I wasn't sure if the horizontal picture would work, but it did. I really didn't want to have to turn my album sideways to see the page. 

These 2 portrait pages were from Hannah's 1 year pictures. This page used pieces from a kit by Cosmo Cricket Studio.  Wasn't she adorable? Okay, she's still pretty cute! But look at those little piggies.

 The portrait pages take a lot more work. After doing 2 of those, I decided I needed to get back to my family album and use some of my easy kits.

This is the first of this week's two page layouts. It is a kit from Out on a Limb Scrapbooking.

These pages are all from our November 2007 trip to Orlando over Thanksgiving. That means that I am almost done with 2007! I'm making progress!

Another One of my Favorite Things

I love to scrapbook. I just don't have the time to do it as much as I would like. One of my favorite things, is the Out on a Limb Scrapbooking website. I have been purchasing their scrapbooking kits for about a year now. In fact, I have collected quite a few.


These 2 crates are filled with kits waiting to be used.


The kits are $6 - $7 and include everything you need to make the page along with instructions. I participate in the monthly kit option. They are held until the end of the month, then shipped all at once. If you order 10 or more kits, shipping is free.

These have really simplified my scrapbooking life. I completed 4 two page layouts this morning in about an hour.

I do tweak my pages a little. Sometimes I have more (or less) pictures than pictured in the instructions.

And of course, I did all this in my newly cleaned and organized scrapbooking room! It worked out very nicely. I am going to tidy it up now so it stays nice.
