Normally we celebrate birthdays after dinner, but we had plans to go to a Memorial Day cookout later that afternoon, so we decided to celebrate Hannah's birthday after lunch instead.
James got Hannah a Harry Potter Lego set. She's already started working on it, with help from her brother.
Hannah is really into MASH fortunes. I used to do them as a kid, but I didn't know they were called MASH. MASH stands for Mansion-Apartment-Shack-House.
Hannah has been bugging us for a gray kitten lately. We have always had cats, but our last one died a couple of months ago. We're enjoying being a cat-free household at the moment, so we have been telling her no. Of course, she keeps asking. We got her a gray kitten for her American Girl dolls. She was happy.
Hannah LOVES to read, just like her Mama. We got her a few new titles for her to read.
We also got her a couple of new Webkinz. I really thought we were done with WK, but she recently renewed her interest in them.
Instead of a traditional birthday cake, we got gourmet cupcakes from Miss Mamie's on the square in downtown Marietta.
Hannah selected a cookie dough cupcake.
James chose a Reeses Cup Cupcake.
Mine was coconut.
Chris had a Guinness cupcake. (Made with real Guinness beer).
And the birthday celebration will continue with a party with her friends later in the week.
